About Me

Greetings! I'm a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in the communications and technology industries, and a game designer with a distinct love for the art of creation. My journey into the world of game design commenced years before my time in Unity.

Growing up, I spent most of my personal time exploring board and card games. I even spent time creating my own functional set of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. As I grew older, I taught myself how to code in highschool using Visual Basic. Later, I shifted my focus towards web-development and began using javascript and php to expand my knowledge base. Once I began my studies at the University of Texas at Dallas, I simultaneously began my professional career as a Unity Developer, a role I've proudly performed for over 5 years. This period of intensive learning and growing, coupled with immersive VR and AR projects, has shaped my craft in unique ways.

I have a proven track record with the Unity game engine, backed by 9 years of personal experience, a testament to my dedication to creating compelling gaming experiences. This commitment has earned me multiple accolades from numerous competitive game jams, including "Best Recognition in Programming" at the 2018 Texas A&M jam, Chillennium. Additionally, I learned to leverage my knowledge of javascript and php to craft web-interactive experiences earning me "Overall Winner" and "Best in Programming" at the 2019 UTD jam, GotGame.

One of my strong suits is the ability to rapidly learn new coding languages and mastering development pipelines. This skill has been of significant value during my two-year tenure as a senior training application developer for AT&T. Here, I've contributed numerous WebGL deployments, designed a custom analytics system using xAPI to interface with SCORM, and developed a versatile feedback tool to expedite the iterative feedback process. Additionally, I pioneered several Unity plugins and web-APIs, promoting modular project architectures and dynamic distribution systems.

Having served in the military, where I planned and coordinated network infrastructure, I bring robust managerial skills, strong attention to detail, and diligent work ethic to the table. I view this as a collection of assets that enhance my ability to lead and execute complex projects.

The pinnacle of my professional journey is the establishment of my own outsourcing and game development company where I perform as not only the CEO, but also as the Creative Director, lead game designer, and lead engineer. Our maiden success story is a game, "Hexzle", on the Google Play Store that garnered more than 10,000 downloads, a testament to the relentless hard work and dedication of my team.
